Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar met with Palestinian students studying at MAKÜ.
Hosting students named Ghadir Hamada, Sara Hamada, and Sali Nemer in his office, Rector Dalgar said, “We are very saddened by the crime against humanity happening in Gaza. You also know how valuable Palestine is for our country and our faith. Even if the whole world remains silent, Turkey will continue to stand by the oppressed.” Rector Dalgar chatted with the students about their education, accommodation, social lives, and needs.
The Palestinian students expressed their happiness for this hospitality, saying, “We have always felt Turkey by our side. We also dream of educating ourselves and one day returning to Palestine to live in our homeland and serve our country.”
